Now, let's see what's inside the package.

Libra arrived in a sturdy box with ample padding

Upon opening the box, you'll immediately notice the bike is already 85% assembled, with the main frame completed, but the front headlight, front wheel, and front fender are yet to be installed.

It's time to take a look inside the accessory box now.

Inside the box, you’ll find:

  • Charger: For recharging the battery.
  • Instruction manual: Provides detailed setup and operational instructions.
  • Toolkit: Includes necessary tools for assembly.
  • Pedals: To be attached during assembly.
  • Rear reflector: Enhances visibility.
  • Touch-up paint: Maintains the bike’s appearance.
  • Bike lock: Ensures security.

Fucare Libra Assembly Guide 👇👇👇

The assembly process is standard; you'll need to install the front wheel, mudguards, pedals, and handlebars. It's straightforward and should take about 30-35 minutes.

Step 1:

After unpacking, the first step is to carefully remove the bike from the box and cut all the zip ties. Be cautious not to damage any cables or components while doing so.

Step 2:

Next, install the handlebars. This step is straightforward; align the handlebars correctly and tighten the screws. Ensure the handlebars are centered and securely fastened before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3:

Install the headlight and front fender. Start by removing the front fork screw. Position the headlight and front fender correctly, then slide the bolt in from the back. Secure the front fender stick. Then you can secure both the legs on your rear fender as well.

Step 4:

Install the front wheel. This step requires careful alignment. Remove the protective stick. Ensure the wheel aligns properly with the fork and that the brake disc sits correctly in the caliper. Tighten the washer and nut securely to firmly secure the wheel in place.

Step 5:

Attach the pedals. Note that the pedals are marked for the left and right sides. The left pedal is reverse-threaded, so turn it counterclockwise to tighten. The right pedal tightens clockwise. Ensure both pedals are securely tightened to prevent any issues during use.

Step 6:

Install the seat post and saddle. Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle to your preferred height. Tighten the seat post clamp to keep the saddle in place. Ensure the saddle is level and centered for a comfortable ride. Install and fix the seat tube reflector.

Now, take a brief break. Afterward, verify that all bolts are tightened, check the functionality of the brakes, and ensure the wheels are securely attached. Finally, install the axle caps.

Frame and Design

Fucare Libra unique Frame

The first thing you notice about the Fucare Libra is its distinctive frame. The paint, welds, and overall construction make it clear that this is a very robust e-bike. It can carry an impressive 400 pounds. Additionally, it features a rear seat capable of supporting 100 pounds, ideal for taking along a friend or some extra gear. If you plan on having a passenger, you can opt for an optional backrest and foot pegs. Of course, the downside is its weight; the Libra tips the scales at 80 pounds.

With 20-inch wheels that are four inches wide and both front and rear suspension, this e-bike is built for all terrains. Whether you're navigating city streets or exploring off-road paths, the Fucare Libra provides a smooth and comfortable ride. The front shock cannot be locked out and doesn't have an adjustable preload. The plastic mudguards mean you don't need to worry about rust or stone chips.

The Fucare Libra uses a cadence sensor rather than a torque sensor. The 48V 20Ah battery is secured in place and removable. To remove it, insert the key, unlock it, and pull it out. The battery has a capacity of 960Wh and includes a charge level indicator. You can charge it either on or off the bike.

Fucare Libra With Shimano 7-speed gear shift system

The Libra is equipped with a Shimano 7-speed gear shift system. A plastic guard to prevent the chain from slipping off.

The bike has a 5.0'' LCD Color Display on the handlebars that shows speed, trip meter, battery status, light, and pedal assist levels. There are five assist levels and a zero-assist option.

On the right handlebar, there's a thumb throttle. The left handlebar has a small control pod for power, assist level adjustments, and display toggling, along with a bike bell.

Check here to see How to change the display settings on Libra ebike.

Equipment on the Fucare Libra handlebar

For safety, there is a two-stage brake light that activates during braking and remains visible even in daylight. The powerful front headlight ensures good visibility at night, and reflectors in the spokes of both wheels enhance side visibility.

Tech and Performance

The Fucare Libra is powered by a robust 750-watt geared hub motor, capable of peaking at 1000 watts. With a maximum torque of 80 NM, this electric bike is designed to conquer challenging terrains and steep inclines with ease. It can even reach a top speed of 32 miles per hour, provided you unlock this feature in the settings.

For optimal stopping power and control in various weather conditions, the Fucare Libra is equipped with 180mm hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes not only enhance safety but also require less maintenance compared to other braking systems.

The bike is initially set up as a Class 2 e-bike. However, you have the flexibility to adjust its classification through the menu, allowing you to modify the legal top speed based on whether you’re riding in urban or rural areas.

Powered by a 48V/20 Ah battery, the Fucare Libra offers an impressive range of 30 to 60 miles per charge, depending on your pedaling effort.

Here's the insider info on the battery: The Fucare Libra's battery is UL-certified for safety, so you can ride with peace of mind. The battery is also protected by a durable casing that helps to prevent damage from bumps and falls.

It's important to note that the range can vary. Higher power levels and frequent use of the throttle will reduce the battery life.

The Fucare Libra strikes a compelling balance between affordability and performance. While it may not boast the brand recognition of some high-end e-bikes, it offers a powerful motor, comfortable dual suspension, and a well-built design at a competitive price point.

While the Libra offers great value for its price, riders should be aware that its front fork may not provide the highest level of performance. And the model is on the heavier side at 36 kilos.

The Libra functions adequately for casual riders, BUT those seeking top-of-the-line performance may want to consider e-bikes with higher-quality parts. Overall, the Fucare Libra is a solid choice for riders seeking a feature-rich, comfortable, and budget-friendly electric bike.
